Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2026
1. Overview
DomainSales.ie is operated by S5 Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16842049), registered office 20 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU (“we”, “us”, “our”). We operate a marketplace and brokerage service for .IE domain names, and we also sell domain names from our own portfolio across other extensions. By using our website and services, you agree to these Terms of Service.
2. Services
We provide the following services:
- Direct sales: Domain names we own outright, sold to you at a fixed price through our own checkout. See section 6.
- Marketplace: A platform where .IE domains are listed for sale. Sellers can list domains free of charge; a 15% commission applies on successful sales.
- Brokerage: A domain acquisition service where we negotiate the purchase of a .IE domain on your behalf, for a non-refundable fee of €69 plus 15% commission on the purchase price.
3. Marketplace Listings
Domain listings on our platform are provided for informational purposes. Prices shown are asking prices and may be subject to negotiation. We do not guarantee the availability of any domain, the accuracy of listing information, or the completion of any transaction. We reserve the right to remove listings at our discretion.
4. Brokerage Service
The €69 acquisition fee is non-refundable and is charged for our time, outreach, and negotiation efforts regardless of outcome. We do not guarantee that we will be able to acquire any domain. The 15% success commission is only payable if a deal is successfully completed.
5. Payments
All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never receive or store your card details. Prices are displayed in Euro (EUR) unless otherwise stated; some domains are charged in Pounds Sterling (GBP) or US Dollars (USD), and the exact amount and currency are shown before you confirm payment. Card payments require 3D Secure authentication and a billing address. You agree to pay all applicable fees and commissions as outlined on our Fees & Commission page.
6. Buying a Domain
Domains we own outright can be bought immediately at the displayed price using the Buy Now button. Payment is taken in full at checkout. Each purchase is a one-off sale of a single domain name — there is no subscription and no recurring charge.
Your order is accepted when we confirm it by email, normally within one business day of payment, at which point we ask which registrar account you would like the domain pushed to. The transfer is usually completed within a few business days, depending on the registry and your registrar. Ownership passes to you when the transfer completes.
Domains listed on behalf of other owners cannot be bought this way: they are handled through our enquiry form and settled separately, and we do not take payment for them. Higher-value domains are sold through an escrow service rather than by card.
7. Refunds and Cancellations
If we are unable to complete the transfer of a domain you have paid for — for any reason, including the domain becoming unavailable or a registry restriction preventing the transfer — we will refund your payment in full to the original payment method. Refunds are normally issued within five business days of us confirming that the transfer cannot proceed.
You may cancel a purchase at any time before the transfer has been submitted by emailing us, and we will refund you in full. Once the domain has been transferred into your registrar account the sale is complete and the purchase price is non-refundable.
Where you are buying as a consumer rather than in the course of a business, by completing checkout you expressly request that we begin the transfer immediately, and you acknowledge that you will lose your statutory 14-day right to cancel once the transfer has completed.
The €69 brokerage acquisition fee is separate and non-refundable, as set out in section 4.
8. Domain Transfers
Domain transfers are subject to the rules of the relevant registry — including IEDR (the .IE Domain Registry), Nominet (.UK) and the registry operating any other extension — and to the policies of the gaining and losing registrars. We facilitate transfers but are not responsible for delays or issues caused by third-party registrars or registry policies. You are responsible for providing a registrar account capable of receiving the domain, and for meeting any eligibility requirements the registry imposes.
9. Limitation of Liability
DomainSales.ie is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services. Our total liability is limited to the fees you have paid us.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you are buying as a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country in which you live, or of your right to bring proceedings in the courts of that country.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
