Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

1. Introduction

DomainSales.ie (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our website and services.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us:

  • Contact information: name, email address, phone number when you submit an enquiry or brokerage request.
  • Transaction information: payment details processed securely via Stripe (we do not store card numbers).
  • Domain information: details about domains you wish to buy or sell.

We also automatically collect basic usage data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited for analytics purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to your enquiries and process transactions
  • To facilitate domain sales and brokerage services
  • To send you updates about your transactions
  • To improve our website and services
  • To comply with legal obligations

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with: payment processors (Stripe) to process transactions; Spaceship, whose SafePay escrow service handles higher-value purchases and lease-to-own agreements; domain registrars to facilitate transfers; Cloudflare, which provides the bot protection described below; and as required by law.

5. Bot Protection

Our purchase pages and our enquiry, brokerage, sell-a-domain and report-a-sale forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which distinguishes real visitors from automated traffic. It runs invisibly — there is nothing to click and no puzzle to solve — and it sets no advertising cookies and does not track you across websites. To perform the check, Cloudflare processes technical information about your browser and connection. This processing is described in Cloudflare’s Turnstile Privacy Addendum, which supplements Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectify inaccurate personal data
  • Request erasure of your personal data
  • Restrict or object to processing of your data
  • Data portability
  • Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (Ireland)

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies to operate the website (e.g., theme preference). We do not use third-party tracking cookies. For analytics we use ken.ie, a privacy-focused service that sets no cookies, collects no personally identifiable information, and shares no data with third parties — aggregated counts only (pageviews, referrers, country and device class).

9. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. All payment processing is handled securely via Stripe. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
